About the Workshop
An in depth study of upper body anatomy including: origins, insertions, actions of muscle groups, and how the musculoskeletal system functions in specific asanas (yoga postures). An embodied practice that will provide students an opportunity to understand anatomical concepts and why understanding these principles can support an injury free yoga practice for a lifetime. Students will have the opportunity to reverently connect with their body during a carefully crafted sequence of yoga poses and variations on traditional asana that will act as a therapeutic tonic for the shoulders, neck, and upper back.
